‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens': Two Scenes That Prove Kylo Ren Is Not 'Entirely Evil'
Kylo Ren is believed to be the main villain in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” However, according to a report, the Sith is not all that bad. There are supposedly a couple of scenes in the film which proves he also has some good side to him. [Spoiler Alert]
According to Jason Ward from Making Star Wars, Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) also has a soft spot when it comes to his family, especially with Han Solo. The latter is believed to be Ren’s father in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” “I don’t think Kylo is entirely evil,” Ward said. One scene in the film especially shows how the villain Sith became emotional about his father. “When Uber [Andy Serkis] wants Rose’s Pub destroyed with Han Solo inside, Uber senses some reluctance from Kylo and tells him to 'stop being so sentimental, ' Ward added.
Then the other scene in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” supposedly points to that moment when Kylo Ren sits on the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon after it crash-landed through the trees on a snowy planet. Han Solo, Chewie and Finn had reportedly left the ship by then to attack the First Order Stormtroopers in the Evil castle. “That isn’t normal bad guy stuff; that’s someone lamenting the way things have gone and mourning for what could have been,” Ward further said.
However, Kylo Ren’s sentiments apparently do not involve sparing Han Solo’s life. It’s believed that Han will be killed by his son in the film. This scene supposedly happens in a confrontation on the snowy planet.
A source once told Making Star Wars that there’s “bad blood” between Kylo Ren and his parents, Han Solo and Princess Leia. The source described the villain in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” as someone who’s been obsessed with his Jedi lineage for years and is somewhat of a historian with his fascination with the Sith. The source further described Kylo Ren as a “twisted” and arrogant X-Wing pilot. No further details were revealed regarding his relationship with his parents. However, the source claimed Kylo Ren is someone who cares less for his family.
