Hilary Duff And Ex-Husband Mike Comrie Fight For Child's Custody
Hilary Duff’s demand that she has the primary physical custody of her son with Mike Comrie, Luca did not sit well with the former hockey star. Comrie is now demanding for joint custody.
In her divorce papers, Duff also stated that she wants her son under her primary, physical custody. Under these terms, Comrie would only get visitation rights. TMZ reports however that Comrie is not going to hand her his son just like that. Comrie filed demands for joint custody.
According to the sources of TMZ, the former Disney star is worried to have Comrie share in her child’s custody because of his partying ways. Duff is worried that Comrie cannot be a good parent when he is out partying all the time. It can be remembered that there were reports of Duff making her final decision to continue on with the divorce after the day Comrie allegedly got drunk and propositioned women at Mastro’s in Beverly Hills.
As the fight for Luca’s custody rages on, Duff admits that her comeback on the music business is also not going as smoothly as she would have liked. The last time she released an album was still seven years ago, and going back at it now is extra challenging because many things have changed already. The singer said that she was lucky to sell a lot of records before but to do so now is another ball game because “it’s just different.”
Seven years ago, her albums “Metamorphosis” and “Hilary Duff” were doing very well on the charts. Her songs constantly achieve top 40 successes while her albums always gain platinum-plus ranks. She has now signed with Sony’s RCA Records and would soon be launching new music. The singer said she is excited and at the same time, feeling a “lot of anxiety.” She said getting the album done was a “big learning experience.”
According to Duff, the album would be different from her previous ones because she wanted to a lot this time -- stay true to herself but at the same time give her fans what they want to hear. She said she wants share a specific message through her music and yet be competitive. She added that making her comeback on music industry is complicated by her obligations as a mom as well as an actress. She is currently part of TV Land’s “Younger,” which is recently confirmed to have a second season.
