HTC already confirmed that one of its top devices in 2012, the HTC EVO 4G LTE will receive the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update along with the Sense 5 UI, which arrived for HTC One in April. HTC announced that the update will start rolling out by the end of the year.

The update will come in mid-February, Mackenzie further added. This release date only happens when the plans go seamlessly without issues leading to delays. HTC appears to have encountered unspecified issues with the update that led to the delays.

HTC EVO 4G was released in summer and with its approaching second birthday, the Sense 5 and the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean might be its final major update. Based on history, HTC has stuck to an 18-month support window for its devices, even its flagship smartphones. HTC EVO 4G LTE owners will be lucky if they receive the latest candy bar from Google, which is the Android 4.4 KitKat.
