HTC One: HTC Offers BoomBass Bluetooth Subwoofer Accessory with Availability in October
HTC already offers a best-sounding handset in the HTC One, but the Taiwanese company is not stopping there. HTC announces a new BoomBass accessory that can further improve the HTC One's audio quality, available in October 2013.
The Taiwanese smartphone maker revealed a couple of their upcoming gadgets ahead of the 2013 IFA trade show from September 6 to 11 in Berlin, Germany and one of them is the HTC BoomBass Bluetooth subwoofer accessory. According to HTC, the BoomBass accessory can add up heavy bass to the music played on the HTC One smartphone.
HTC further added that the BoomBass accessory was designed to compliment the BoomSound technology incorporated in the dual front-facing stereo speakers of the HTC One. The BoomBass looks like a cube-shaped speaker in black colour with an available red slide-out stand to hold the HTC One smartphone.
The BoomBass connects to the handset through Bluetooth and NFC as well as a dedicated amplifier. The subwoofer, with measurements 2.5x2.5x2.5 inches, is a smaller and more portable accessory compared to Bluetooth speakers like the 10.1x3.7x3.2 inches Jawbone Big Jambox and it is expected to last up to nine hours of music playing.
The BoomBass accessory will be available for purchase at the HTC Accessory Store in mid-October 2013. However, no announcement has been made yet regarding the pricing scheme of the new HTC smartphone accessory.
Aside from the BoomBass accessory, HTC launched as well the entry-level HTC Desire 300 smartphone, the mid-range HTC Desire 601 and a new colour option for the HTC One. The "Vivid Blue" colour will reportedly be available in Q4 2013 at selected markets.
The HTC One features a 4.7-inch Super LCD3 capacitive touch screen display with 1920x1080p resolution, a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage capacity and a 2300mAh Li-polymer battery.
Additional features and specs include the 4MP UltraPixel rear-facing camera, 2.1MP front-facing camera capable of video calls and connectivity support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, mircro-USB 2.0, HTC Connect and NFC.
