Mophie recently launched a new Mophie Juice Pack battery case for the Samsung Galaxy S4 that can offer additional power and protection to the smartphone. The name Mophie may ring a bell since there are already Juice Pack battery cases available for the HTC One and Apple iPhone 5 smartphones.

The company assures that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mophie Juice Pack will put in additional 80% power to the battery life comparable to the iPhone 5 Mophie Juice Pack Helium. The battery case can give additional 13 hours of talk time, 6 hours of Web browsing, 35 hours of audio playback and 7 hours of video playback.

"The Samsung Galaxy S4 has amazing capabilities and features that fuel its user's lifestyle, yet also drain the phone's battery," Ross Howe, Mophie's Vice President of Marketing, stated. "The Mophie Juice Pack delivers the extra power needed to let S4 users enjoy all it has to offer, including Dual Shot and Group Play, without having to stop to recharge the phone. And users can play to the max, because the juice pack provides protection against bumps and drops encountered along the way," Mr Howe added.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mophie Juice Pack has an extra 2,300mAh rechargeable lithium battery to the 2600mAh battery of the smartphone. The battery case weighs 4.59oz (130g) with measurements at 2.92x5.91x0.66 inches.

Another impressive feature of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mophie Juice Pack allows the users to charge and sync the smartphone through a micro-USB connection cable without removing it from the battery case.

The included four-LED status indicator located at the Mophie Juice Pack's rear will inform the users when additional battery is fully charged or already running out. However, the added bulk from the battery case will make the smartphone's NFC functionality no longer useful.

Interest Samsung Galaxy S4 owners can get their hand on the Mophie Juice Pack with a price of $100. The battery case will be available as well for two weeks at £89.99 (US$139) price in the United Kingdom at Carphone Warehouse before an expanded availability with other UK retailers starting early September.

The available colour choices for the Samsung Galaxy S4 soft-touch Mophie Juice Pack are black, white, pink and red. The battery case's soft finish and pass-through buttons mix together its design with the Samsung smartphone.
