HTC One M10 will not be launched at MWC 2016
HTC announced the One M9 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) last year, but the latest rumours suggest the Taiwanese company might not do the same and unveil the One M10 at MWC 2016.
The company is said to be holding a separate dedicated event in March to launch its upcoming flagship. The smartphone is expected to hit the market in April.
According to a report by GSM Arena, the tech firm decided to delay its launch as management was not satisfied and have yet to finalise the design of the device. The handset is rumoured to come with a completely new design. However, HTC is yet to confirm the specific launch date.
The HTC One M10 will reportedly be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. The rumoured handset is also believed to have a IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. The smartphone will allegedly come equipped with a fingerprint scanner for authentication. Like the HTC One A9 the upcoming device will also house a physical Home button on the front.
On the software front, the device will run on HTC Sense 8.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, reported GSM Dome. A massive 3,000 mAh battery will be there to juice up the smartphone. A generous 23-megapixel main camera is also rumored to be part of the handset.
The MWC 2016 is scheduled from Feb. 22 to 25 in Barcelona, Spain. As speculated LG is expected to add a new device to its G series and launch the G5 to take on the Samsung Galaxy S7 at the MWC 2016.
The LG G5 is rumoured to sport a full metal unibody design with a 5.6-inch QHD display. LG has sent out invites for an event on Feb. 21, just a day before the opening ceremony of the MWC 2016.
