Nokia continues to work on upcoming devices even after unveiling the 41MP Nokia Lumia 1020 smartphone recently. Leaked images that appeared on the Chinese search engine Baidu and other tech Web sites reveal that Nokia is working on the new Nokia Lumia 625 smartphone with an expected launch very soon.

Insiders familiar with the Finnish company's plans disclosed to the technology news site The Verge that the Nokia Lumia 625 will be launched as one of the biggest Lumia smartphone range to come with an affordable price tag.

The Nokia Lumia 625 will reportedly feature a 4.7-inch screen size with 800x480p WVGA display resolution and LTE support. The upcoming smartphone appears to be the first one with a larger screen size compared to the 4.5-inch screen size found in other Nokia Lumia handsets such as the Lumia 920, 925, 928 and 1020.

Additional features and specs are the 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 512MB of RAM, 2000mAh batter and a 5MP camera. The Nokia Lumia 625, which was given the codename Max, is anticipated to be released soon after passing the certification on the official Chinese radio communication device regulator.

China will be offering the Nokia Lumia 625 with numerous colour choices available and a price of CNY1,999 ($325). There is no confirmation yet as to when the Lumia 625 will be released worldwide, but the U.S. availability seems to be close after the Nokia handset passed through the FCC filing with support for the GSM network of AT&T.

The Nokia Lumia 625 is apparently a part the Finnish company's plan to drive the Windows Phone handsets to a much lower price points and be competitive in the market sales. Though Nokia's Asha and Lumia device range trades well, competition with other rival companies like Samsung, Apple, Sony and HTC continues to increase.
