U.S. carrier Sprint has confirmed that the availability of the HTC One smartphone in Ruby Red colour option will start on Friday, August 16. An interesting deal has been made as well with the Buy One Get One Free promo until August 30.

The red HTC One is the third officially announced colour choice in the United States in addition to the silver and black models, with Sprint as the exclusive carrier. Pricing scheme for the HTC One Ruby Red remainrf the same at $199.99 with a 2-year contract both on the Sprint retail stores and online.

Consumers who wished to acquire the HTC One Ruby Red without the contract must pay out $549.99. For the additional interesting promo, buying an HTC One smartphone in any colour choice will give the consumers a second HTC One on the condition that a 2-year contract for the second phone will be signed.

A red version of the HTC One, officially called Glamour Red, already begun selling in the United Kingdom. The HTC One in blue colour option was expected to be available soon, after images were previously leaked online, but the details on its precise release date and pricing have not yet been confirmed.

Additionally, Now Network will be including the HTC One Ruby Red model in their Buy One Get One Free deal from August 16 to August 30. The Sprint HTC One smartphones will feature a built-in NextRadio app to allow users to experience the interactive FM radio on the move.

"Our customers already enjoy listening to a variety of music apps on their smartphones, but NextRadio makes it easier than ever to interact with the local radio stations they enjoy listening to in the car virtually anywhere," Fared Adib, Sprint's Senior Vice President on Product Development, stated.

"Marking another innovation milestone for Sprint, our partners at NextRadio are transforming the FM radio listening experience by allowing users to interact with their favorite radio shows by calling or messaging directly from their smartphone," the VP further added.
