Details of the upcoming Huawei Ascend P7 "Sophia" smartphone have surfaced on several tech Web site reports. The leaked internal document claimed the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is getting ready to launch the successor of the Huawei Ascend P6 in April 2014, according to the GSM Arena report.

The leaked document did not include any images of the new Huawei device and the details on the pricing scheme or which carrier will offer the device to the consumers. However, the Trusted Reviews report approximated that the Huawei Ascend P7 price will be close to the £350 ($573) price of the Huawei Ascend P6 smartphone that was announced in June 2013.

"If the leaked internal document is entirely accurate, the Huawei Ascend P7 will be available to purchase from April 2014. This would mean a launch event around the end of March or beginning of April," the report read. The Pocketlint report, on the other hand, suggested that the Huawei Ascend P7 will heavily target Asia and Europe on its April 2014 release.

The anonymous tipster of GSMArena claimed that the Huawei Ascend P7 will sport a comparable look to the Huawei Ascend P6 with the new device created from "exquisite materials" as indicated in the leaked internal document.

The leaked Huawei Ascend P7 features and specs include a 5-inch Full 1080p HD TFT LCD screen display, 1.6GHz quad-core HiSilicon Balong 910 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage capacity that can be expanded through the available microSD card slot.

Other smartphone features and specs to be incorporated in the device are the 2460 mAh battery, 13 MP rear-facing camera with AutoFocus and LED flash, 8 MP front-facing camera, 4G LTE connectivity, support for Cat 4 at the 800/1800/2100/2600 bands and the unknown Android version with the Huawei Emotion 2.0 UI.

The Chinese company brings to light one of the Huawei Ascend P7 exclusive selling points. It is the smartphone's capability to capture the "best selfie videos." The Trusted Reviews report pointed out that the feature can be achieved with the 8MP front-facing camera that has a better resolution compared to the main rear cameras in other high-end smartphones.
