Verizon is reportedly getting ready to offer another Nokia device, the Nokia Lumia 929. Notable mobile device source @evleaks posted on Twitter that the codename for the upcoming Windows Phone handset is "Icon" as more leaked images surface online.

"Codename for the Nokia Lumia 929: Icon," the Twitter status shared on Wednesday, December 4, reads. Furthermore, more leaked photos of the upcoming Nokia device pop up on the Internet as a follow up to the set of images revealed a couple of days ago that came from an anonymous reader in Mexico.

According to the Phone Dog report, another consumer apparently managed to get hold of Verizon's Nokia Lumia 929 ahead of its official release with Phone Arena sharing the latest captured images of the Finnish device. The leaked images teased the device enthusiasts with another decent look at the front of the Nokia Lumia 929 as well as its storage screen that supports the rumoured 32GB internal storage capacity.

Details on when the Nokia Lumia 929 will be put up for sale are still unknown. The Techno Buffalo report suggests Verizon could possibly launch the Windows Phone handset before the holidays after deciding not to offer the device during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the busiest shopping days of the year.

The Geeky Gadgets report agrees as well with the Christmas season sale of the Nokia Lumia 929 at Verizon because the company would definitely want some holiday earnings. The other reports on the exclusive availability of the Nokia Lumia 929 at Verizon point to either mid or latter part of December.

The Nokia Lumia 929, the smaller version of the Nokia Lumia 1520, is expected to have a GDR3 update with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 5-inch 1080p screen display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage capacity that can be expanded via the available microSD card slot and a 20MP rear-facing PureView camera.

The other features expected to be incorporated in the Nokia Lumia 929 are the front-facing camera capable of video chatting, the Nokia Pro Cam camera app, Here Drive+, Nokia Music and 4G LTE support with the data network of Verizon. As for the colour options, consumers can choose either black or white Nokia Lumia 929 Verizon-compatible Windows Phone handset.
