Huawei Honor 7 Now Available Worldwide
Huawei’s Honor 7, which was launched in June 2015, is now available worldwide via online retailer OppoMart. The smartphone that packs high-end features at a competitive price tag is set to attract many smartphone enthusiasts. The device was made available for pre-order in China before its release. The smartphone got about 9 million units pre-ordered within the first week.
The Honor 7 is currently available in China only. This means that interested buyers from other parts of the globe will have to depend on online retailers such as Oppomart to get their hands on the smartphone, which sells for as low as US$429 (AU$578) for the 16 GB version. The handset will be available in 16, 32 and 64 GB models. However, the memory is expandable via a microSD card that can be up to 128 GB.
The new Honor 7 touts a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with 1,080 x 1,920 pixels resolution with 424 ppi. It runs on an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 935 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz and 3 GB of RAM. The processor will provide the smartphone with a smooth and fast multi-tasking experience. The Huawei handset also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity. The device comes running on Android 5.0 Lollipop. A powerful 3,100 mAh will battery fuel the Honor 7. OppoMart product specs suggest that the Honor 7’s measurements are 144.9 x 72.1 x 6.4mm and weighs about 144 grams, which is 5.07 ounces.
The new smartphone will sport a 20 MP Sony IMX230 rear camera, accompanied by a 8 MP front camera. The handset has phase detection focus that will allow the user to focus on a subject in just a mere 0.1 second. Under the camera is a fingerprint sensor that can be used to unlock the device with just a tap.
The handset will support LTE band 1 and band 3, meaning that the Honor 7 cannot be used in the U.S. but the smartphone will be compatible with LTE networks in some Asian and European countries.
