Huawei launches Enjoy 5 in China; features 4000 mAh battery and reverse charging
Huawei has officially announced the Enjoy 5 in China. The device is up on Vmall, the official online store of the company for pre-orders, priced at 999 Yuan (AU$216). The smartphone will be shipped with a massive 4000mAh battery, which is expected to deliver up to 20 hours of talk time. The smartphone will be available on sale starting Oct. 16.
The Huawei Enjoy 5 sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with 720×1280 resolution. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Huawei’s’ proprietary Emotion UI 3.1 on top. The smartphone will be powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6735) processor coupled with Mali T720 GPU.
The Enjoy 5 will be shipped with 2GB of RAM and 16 GB internal storage, which can be expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot. With a massive 4000 mAh battery, the smartphone promises up to 24 hours of standby time. The device sports reverse charging enabling users to power any other device using the giant battery, reports GizChina. In spite of housing such a huge battery the device weighs only 160 grams.
The smartphone supports dual-SIM slots and sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and LED flash. The device also features a 5MP front camera for video calling and selfies. The handset enjoys 4G LTE wireless connectivity. Other connectivity options include 3G, Wi- Fi, Bluetooth, USB OTG and micro-USB, according to a report from Tech First Post. The smartphone will be available in grey, gold and white colour options.
The company is yet to detail its plan for a global launch. However, according to a report in NDTV Gadgets, in other markets, it is likely to be released as the Honor Play 5X.
