Huawei revealed its 5.5-inch Mate S at the IFA press conference in Berlin earlier this month. The smartphone is now on Vmall for pre-orders in Europe and is priced at £469 (AU$1020) in the UK, CHF649 (AU$936) in Switzerland and €649 (AU$1019) in mainland Europe.

In August, Huawei rolled out its own Vmall Official Online Store for the first time in the UK to sell its latest products throughout Europe. Now, the Huawei Mate S is listed on the online store and customers in the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland can place pre-orders for the smartphone. But it will take 4-5 weeks to ship the latest offering from Huawei.

Only the base model of the Huawei Mate S with 32GB internal storage and 3GB of RAM has been listed on the online store for European markets. The smartphone will be available in two colour variants: Titanium Silver or Mystic Champagne.

A report in Android Authority said European customers won’t be able to buy either the 6GB variant or the 128GB Luxury Edition of the Mate S. The luxury model touts the Force Touch display technology.

The listed device will come with a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080p Full-HD AMOLED display; 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front snapper with dual-LED flash and optical stabilisation. The touchscreen is protected by Gorilla Glass 4.

The smartphone houses a 2700 mAh battery and comes with a fingerprint scanner at the back panel. Powered by Huawei's proprietary Kirin 935 chipset, the handset will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with Emotion UI 3.1, reports GSM Arena.

In addition, the 4G LTE enabled device supports Dual SIM and houses multiple sensors like an accelerometer, a compass, a gyroscope, a Hall sensor and a proximity sensor.
