Ian Somerhalder on Twitter: 'Vampire Diaries' Actor Encourages Followers to Join the Fight Rejecting the Keystone XL Pipeline [VIDEO]
"Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder has shown his environmentalist side numerous times via social networking site Twitter and the latest one has the actor talking about an important global concern. Mr Somerhalder encourages his millions of followers to join him in the fight rejecting the "Keystone XL Pipeline."
"Add your voice to mine and #DemandCleanPower. Share this animated video about the climate-wrecking #KeystoneXL. http://youtu.be/-KmWEviwsas," the 34-year-old heartthrob actor posted on his Twitter account @iansomerhalder with a video link to watch. Mr Somerhalder raised his concern because the pipeline will be messing up the Alaska eco system for the wildlife.

Check @dosomething's #50 Cans," the actor posted with an attached image that shows his handsome self holding up a can.
A part of the PerezHilton.com report reads: "50 cans is an organization that asks people to save 50 cans or more and show the designs on Instagram." More images of other participants in the 50 Cans awareness can be seen as well in the entertainment Web site's report.
After sharing the serious issues, Ian Somerhalder lightened up the mood when he shared an Instagram photo of his "zombie self." The actor posted "Embracing my Zombie self..." on Twitter as a caption to the image most likely from the app called "Dead Yourself."
In the mean time, fans can watch Ian Somerhalder as vampire Damon Salvatore in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 that airs every Thursday at 8/7c on the CW network. Episode 4 "For Whom the Bell Tolls" had the viewers in a state of sadness as the TVD gang said their emotional goodbye to Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) who died from saving Jeremy Gilbert (Steven R McQueen).
The cast members, including Damon, are expected to continue mourning for the death of Bonnie in the upcoming new episode. The devoted TVD fans can find out what happens next in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 with Episode 5 titled "Monster's Ball" scheduled to air on Halloween night, October 31.
