iOS 10.3 beta 5 updates and jailbreak: New iOS may be the end of jailbreaking
The iOS 10.3 beta 5 release will mean that the end of jailbreaking is inevitable, majorly because of the new Apple File System (APFS). This new file system makes it more difficult for hackers to crack the IPA (iOS Application Archive) files.
The iOS 10.3 beta 5 was just released for both the iPhone and iPad to registered developers as well as public beta testers. It includes a lot of new features that will halt any jailbreaking attempts. Famous 19-year-old Italian hacker Luca Todesco has previously mentioned that it is impossible to jailbreak the iOS 10.3. Although he was not able to provide the reason, others have implicated that it is due to the new APFS.
The iOS 10.3 beta 5 has a lot of new features like the new integrated feature on the iDevices which is “Find My AirPods.” Beyond that, there was also a floating keyboard available in the iPad with the iOS 10.3 beta. There are more features that came in with the new beta release.
According to 9to5mac, Siri can now support updating cricket scores from the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the International Cricket Council (ICC). The Safari app will also support a new preference setting called “Reduced Motion.” Furthermore, the new APFS will apparently help free up some phone space to allocate it to other things.
This update also brings some good news for those who own a CarPlay from Apple in their car. The iOS 10.3 update has a new CarPlay status bar. It will have quick access to media, communication and travel apps. This will make it easier for users to quickly switch from one app to another without accessing the Home screen. On top of this, the CarPlay will be able to access the albums from the songs in the Music app, so it will show what song will play next.
Other changes that may be introduced in the iOS 10.3 update includes 3D Touch capability for the Weather app and App Store changes. Apparently, developers of the apps in the App Store will now be allowed to comment on customer reviews.
There will also be a “Helpful” or “Not Helpful” feature in the App Store. It will apparently help improve the rating of an app in the store. However, at this point, they are mere speculations as the final iOS 10.3 IPA has not yet been released.
The fifth beta of the upcoming iOS 10.3 was seeded and is now available to registered developers and public beta testers. This can also be downloaded from the Apple Developer Centre or over-the-air, according to MobiPicker.
