iOS 10.3 jailbreak update: Reports indicate that it is possible to jailbreak the newest iOS 10.3.1
There are reports that say the iOS 10.3 jailbreak will happen. Fans of the jailbreak community may celebrate the possibility of an iOS 10.3.x jailbreak tool. Luca Todesco focuses on jailbreaking PS4 instead.
Although there is currently no update from 19-year-old Italian hacker Luca Todesco about his iOS 10.2.1 jailbreak tool, there are multiple reports that say the iOS 10.3.x may have a jailbreak. As of the time of writing, there is no sufficient evidence that the reports are true. However, according to a recent report, the jailbreak tool is currently in the works by the likes of famous hacker teams like Pangu and TaiG. Fans can definitely cross Todesco off their list of hackers that will release an iOS 10.3x exploit as he has announced his exit from the jailbreaking community.
The jailbreak community hackers have kept mum recently as the iOS 10.3 and iOS 10.3.x have rolled out. However, there are still a lot of fans in the jailbreak community waiting for a jailbreak to come out before upgrading to the latest version of the iOS. Although the iOS hackers have not released any word about new iOS exploits coming out soon, there are still lots of speculations that the latest iOS can still be exploited.
According to Travelers Today, there is indication that Pangu and TaiG are working on the latest iOS to exploit its weaknesses. However, since the iOS 10.3.1 rolled out to fix critical bug issues, it seems that hackers will have a difficult time jailbreaking this iOS. In addition to this, it has also been reported that the iOS 10.3 will be difficult to jailbreak as there is a new file system added in the new iOS.
Todesco is done with jailbreaking
Todesco has definitely made a name for himself in the jailbreak community. He was one of the first hackers to openly show that the iOS 10.x can be exploited. In addition to this, he was able to release a tethered jailbreak for the iOS 10.2.1. However, there is currently no untethered version for his jailbreak until further notice. But on March 28, Todesco took to Twitter an update to his jailbreaking fans. He said, “1. Save blobs 2. If you're currently on 10.2.1 stay on it if you want to jailbreak. 3. I am done with jailbreaking." For those who are not familiar with this jargon, Todesco is basically saying that those who still want to jailbreak their iPhones should stay on the iOS 10.2.1. In addition to this, he will also not be jailbreaking anymore. (See tweet below.)
In other news, it seems Todesco is focusing on other exploits including the PS4. He has recently released photos of his PS4 being exploited. In addition to this, he also released the exploit for the PS4 4.0.x. (See tweet below.)
