Google announced its new line of hardware yesterday through a blog post, after its media launching event in New York was canceled due to Hurricane Sandy.

One of the devices announced by the company is its latest 10-inch full size tablet - Nexus 10. According to the blog post, Nexus 10 will sport a 10.055 inches screen display with 2560x1600 pixel resolution. Moreover, it comes with a powerful battery that will get you up to nine hours of video playback and more than 500 hours of standby time.

One of the selling points of the device is that it will run with the upcoming Android v4.2 Key Lime Pie. Knowing Google, the successor of Jelly Bean will promise smooth and fun experience to the users. This Google's ytablet is expected to battle head on with other devices in the market such as Apple's iPad.

Tech giant Apple unveiled not one, but two tablets yesterday at its media event at San Jose's California Theater. Apple unwrapped the iPad Mini and a revamped full size iPad.

Apple unveiled the long-rumored iPad mini, a smaller, lighter model with a 7.9-inch screen, instead of the 9.7-inch Retina display on the regular iPad. The screen resolution is 1024 by 768 pixels, the same as the iPad 2 and a quarter of the resolution of the flagship iPad.

The company also boosted the existing iPad 3 or New iPad by adding a new A6X processor, faster Wi-Fi performance, and the 8-pin Lightning connector, while keeping the price the same as before-starting at $499 for the 16GB Wi-Fi model. Both also have 4G LTE versions available for $130 more, and you can get them all in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB varieties. Below is a closer look at the differences between each of these tablets.

Screen Display - The latest iPad will sport the same, old 9.7 inch screen display with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution. The Google Nexus 10 offers 10.055 inches screen display with 2560x1600 pixel resolution.

Processor - 4th Gen iPad is powered by the dual core A6X chip processor. Google Nexus 10 is powered by the dual core Samsung Exynos 5 processor.

Operating System - iPad 4th Gen is run by Apple's latest iOS 6 while Google's tablet is equipped with the upcoming Android v4.2 Key Lime Pie.

Storage - iPad 4th Gen comes in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants. Google Nexus 10, on the other hand, is available in 16GB and 32GB.

Camera - Both devices will sport a 5MP rear shooter.

Price - The full size iPad WiFi only and WiFi + 4G/LTE cost $499 and $629, respectively. Google Nexus 10 starting price is $399, which is definitely cheaper than iPad.

Pre-orders for the 4th Generation of iPad started last week, with the Wi-Fi-only versions hitting Apple Stores on November 2. Google Nexus 10 will hit the Google Play Store in the U.S., U.K., Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Canada and Japan on November 13.
