iPad Air 3's March 2016 release date is a no-go; Apple to update 12-inch MacBook instead
'Soon' isn’t the correct operative word
Apple unveiled the iPad Pro just this October but consumers quickly speculated an iPad Air 3 could be coming soon to celebrate a “birthday”. Turns out that “soon” isn’t the correct operative word. “Later” is.
The much awaited iPad Air 3 might not come as soon as expected, said Yibada. Avid Apple tablet users believed the device was going to be out by March 2016. The tablet, however, has failed to show up in any tech event for the past several months.
New reports, however, suggest the Cupertino tech giant might opt to forgo launching the iPad Air 3 in early 2016. After all, the Internet is abuzz with speculation Apple might focus on an all-new 12-inch MacBook, instead.
The 12-inch MacBook will celebrate its first birthday next March. That said, Mac World is convinced Apple will use the month to unveil a new device of the same kin, especially after it got a lot of praise for being "an impressive machine", both physically and under the hood.
The 12-inch MacBook's aesthetic design is considered top of the line, especially with its Space Grey, Silver and Gold colour variants.
The laptop boasts of high-end features that include a Force Touch-ready track pad; a Retina display and a new butterfly mechanism under the think keyboard's individually lit keys. Plus, it also has a USB Type-C port, which makes it among the first devices to support this feature.
Although it’s highly unlikely Apple will launch the iPad Air 3 in March 2016, the alleged iPad Air 3 specs are still making the rounds online. Word has it the iPad Air 3 will feature the same 9.7-inch 4K display in an even thinner body than its predecessor.
