The new iPhone 5 may face challenges on its voice recognition feature and battery life, as speculations that it will be released this fall gains momentum.

Minneapolis-based investment bank Piper Jaffray Cos. released a report that most iPhone 4S users said that Siri does not work well. The feature can only accurately answer over 60 percent of searches. Thus, the report gave a D rating for the feature.

According to the report, Siri is good at comprehending what the user is saying but it struggles in giving accurate answers to searches.

Siri is a defining characteristic of the iPhone 4S and will definitely make a comeback in the new iPhone. Apple spent large amount of money on advertisements of Siri casting Samuel L. Jackson and Zooey Deschanel. However, many users reported contrasting experience compared with the ads.

A group of customers filed a complaint against Apple for false advertising. Same thing happened with iPad 4G/LTE feature, especially in Australia where disatisfied customers filed complaints on Apple's deceitful ads claiming that 4G/LTE will work in Australia. However, Apple denied both complaints.

The company revealed how much work it does on Siri incorporated in the new mobile operating system, iOS 6. In its introduction of the new operating system at the WWDC event last month, Apple said that Siri will be able to understand various languages.

Another possible dilemma for Apple in its six generation of iPhone is its battery life. Analyst Brian White revealed that only 30 percent of the batteries produced for Apple passed its standards. White quickly defended Apple that it will be able to figure a way to fix it before the September launch.

Chinese Web site Sina published a report that there is a great possibility that Apple will launch its flagship phone in September. Last year, Apple revealed iPhone 4S in October, which put it off the normal schedule of June release. Also, end of August is also a possible date.

The news of Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to be released around the same time could be a reason why Apple will release its smartphone in September.

Apple may shake things up again this year. There are minimal details revealed about the new iPhone. However, new processor, larger screen and NFC support are some of the possible features to be incorporated in the new handset.
