iPhone 6 Concept Videos With Outrageous Features: 3D Camera, Water Resistant, Apple LED Logo, and More
The iPhone 6 is the much-awaited phone from Apple, and it is also one of the most speculated handsets, more so than the iPhone 5S.
Since the iPhone 5S is considered to be a refresh phone more than anything, and that the innovative design and features is expected to hit with the iPhone 6, there are several fans who have been diligent in either keeping up with the rumours or imaginative enough to add their own takes on what the iPhone 6 can look like.
Here are some concept videos that feature outrageous designs or features, most of which may be hopeful thinking on the fans' part.
Water resistant iPhone 6
There has been a hype with water resistant devices, especially when Sony introduced the Xperia Z. Samsung tried to followed suit with its Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, though it has been recently making headlines for not being as water-resistant and whoops-proof as it was advertised.
Now news reports have confirmed that Samsung is now offering a one-time replacement of Samsung Galaxy S4 Active phone that have been water-damaged.
This shows that the smartphone industry still has a long way to go in innovation so that it can incorporate a truly water-resistant phone, at least in the flagship lines of device makers.
It is in this manner that Apple can try to take charge, as seen in the concept video, which introduces the idea of a water-resistant iPhone 6. From ConceptsiPhone, concept creator Uygar KAYA and video creator Ran Avni, this version of the iPhone 6, it seems to be a fitting choice for those who are rocking the active lifestyle with a dust- and water-resistant feature.
Other features included in the concept are the Full HD retina display, ultra slim design, notification LEDs, charging animation, and a touch-sensitive volume rocker.
Wireless charging with the iPhone 6
For this concept video from experienceITA, a notable feature is the wireless charging, which, judging by the concept, does not require any case to do the job.
This supports a rumoured feature previously reported by Gotta Be Mobile, wherein, if the iPhone 5S will feature wireless charging with a case, a wireless charging without one may be expected for the iPhone 6, to make the feature a more integrated one with the handset.
Further into the video, you can also see some other rumoured features, including the iOS 7, a lighter and thinner design, a 4.7-inch and edge-to-edge display without any bezels, and a surround system for the phone.
Octagonal design
Many are expecting the iPhone 6 to be a very edgy and sexy phone, but what if edgier means having more edges to the phone?
In this version, the iPhone 6 features an octagonal shape, with the supposed four corners each having an extra edge. More as an aesthetic change rather than a functional one, this may put off other people who have been used to the design of the iPhone line.
What's your take on this concept design for the iPhone 6? Would you consider a phone with an edgier frame?
2D/3D screen, 3D Camera, and more
Innovation has been pretty much a level playing field with the smartphones of late--meaning most of what one device maker has can be expected to roll out with other companies.
But if a lot of innovation can be possible, here are some very innovative features for the iPhone 6, courtesy of this video from ConceptsiPhone.
The video, created by OYanuk and Ran Avni shows off a 2D/3D screen, the iOS 7 powering the device, a 3D facing camera for video calling, and a thinner body at 5.1 mm.
What is more interesting are the features that have solely been made as a concept--and perhaps features that Apple can dabble with in the future. These include turning the Apple logo into a sensor home button. The logo is also an LED indicator that turns green when you have an SMS message, blue for Skype updates, and orange for battery charging needs.
Some more features include stereo microphones, double flash LED, and a 3D camera to enable 3D 4K ultra HD video recording. Also, banking on the gaming progression of Apple with its iOS 7, the concept also features dual front speakers, not just perfect for gaming but also videos and music.
