The iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus are slated for release in the coming month. Rumours are suggesting that Apple will start receiving preorders for both the handsets from Sept. 11.

According to Phone Arena, a French carrier has not only revealed that the preorders will commence on Sept. 11 but also it has mentioned that the shipment of the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus will start from Sept. 18. Apple may also organise the launch event on Sept. 8 or 9, and then begin with the preorders on Sept. 11.

Forbes states that the US and France comprise the first batch of nation where Apple releases its new iPhones. Hence, the dates for preorders and shipment for France will also be the same for the US.

One of the most hyped features that will come to the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus is the Force Touch enabled display. The Apple has already incorporated the Force Touch feature in Apple Watch and the new MacBook. On the next iPhones, the Force Touch technology will allow the handset to distinguish between harder presses and lighter taps on the display.

The iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus are going to be powered by Apple A9 chipset featuring a 1.5 GHz tri-core processor. It will be coupled with 2 GB of RAM. Both the upcoming iPhones will also feature 12 MP cameras.

The appearance and design of both iPhones will be similar to last year’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Both handsets are also expected to be available in a new rose gold colour scheme.

As of this writing, Apple has not disclosed any information on the upcoming iPhones. Also, the Cupertino company is yet to send invitations for the launch event that is expected to occur next month. Rumours are rife that Apple may also unveil a new 4-inch iPhone 6C handset during the launch event of the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus.
