Photos of rose gold iPhone 6S, 6S Plus have surfaced

The iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus are pegged to get announced on Sept. 9. Rumors have it that other the usual color variants like space gray, silver and gold; both the iPhone 6S models will be available in a new rose gold color scheme.

Rose Gold iPhone 6S

According to Redmond Pie, several photos of the next generation iPhone 6S in rose gold color have surfaced on Chinese social media websites. However, the rose gold iPhone 6S appears pink in some images. Hence, GSM Arena doubts on the authenticity of the leaked photos.

A report from 9 to 5 Mac states that the images are fake. He further adds that the pictures of the rose gold iPhone 6S first surfaced in March this year, but they started circulating online this week. However, he still claims that Apple is currently working on a rose gold iPhone 6S.

New 5-inch iPhone 6S

A tipster from Foxconn has revealed that Apple is working on a 5-inch iPhone 6S variant, G for Games reported. However, Phone Arena speculates that the new 5-inch handset will feature a 4.7-inch HD display and the iPhone 6S will sport a 5-inch full HD screen and the larger iPhone 6S Plus will be equipped with a 5.5-inch full HD screen. The displays of the new iPhones will be powered by Force Touch technology.

Speculations indicate that the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus will arrive preinstalled with iOS 9. Both the devices will feature a 12 MP camera, Apple A9 chipset that includes a 1.5 GHz tri-core CPU along with 2 GB of RAM.

The new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus are expected to get announced on Sept. 9. Rumors are rife that both the devices will be available fro purchase from Sept. 18.

As of this writing, the Cupertino company has not revealed any information on the upcoming iPhones. Hence, there is no official confirmation on whether Apple will be launching the new iPhones in rose gold or pink color option.
