"Hawthorne" star, Jada Pinkett-Smith, has been married to Hollywood actor Will Smith for nearly 15 years, so when it comes to giving relationship advice, she knows what she is talking about.

The actress, who is mom to child stars Jaden and Willow, was surprised to find out young Disney star Miley Cyrus got engaged. However, she offered up some advice to the 19-year-old bride-to-be.

At the "Mamarazzi Event" which was presented by Capri Sun Super V & The Moms in New York City, OK! Magazine asked Jada what advice she would give to young couples like Miley and Liam Hemsworth, who are taking the plunge on marriage. The actress was surprised about the news and she did not even know that Miley Cyrus was already engaged.

"Miley is getting married? She's engaged?" Jada said in disbelief, before offering up some words of wisdom.

"There's a lot of change coming," Jada shared. She also added that it would be better for Miley and Liam to learn how to be friends because when the couple is starting especially that young, a lot of transition will happen.

"Forever is a long time. And when you're starting forever at 19 years old, it's a long time!" Jada explained.

Meanwhile, the actress further shared that there is really nothing wrong with getting married young just as long as the couple must be aware of what it is now and what it will be in the future.

"It's just going to continue to transform and change. So you have to be with someone you consider a friend and you have to keep flexibility," the "Madagascar 3" star added.

Jada revealed that she also started dating Will at young age. With that experience, she made sure to touch on the fact that Miley has a long but amazing road ahead of her.

"I got with Will when I was 23. So when I think about Miley and I'm like she's engaged at 19? It's a journey!" Jada said.

"It's a beautiful journey, but it's a journey. Lots of challenges," she pointed out.

So what exactly does Jada and Will do to keep their romance alive? Patience, love and celebrations. The actress shared that they always celebrate throughout the year especially their wedding anniversary where they can always look back to see where they have come from and take note of what they were able to accomplish as husband and wife.

Well, Miley Cyrus has definitely lots to learn about marriage and she can always have a talk with Jada Pinket-Smith about it.
