Junkie XL Talks 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice' Trailer Music And Release Date
Tom Holkenborg, who goes by the Twitter handle Junkie XL, only has one word to describe the first trailer for “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” and that it is “awesome.” The film’s music composer recently took to his Twitter page to share some details on the work he’s done for the movie’s soundtrack.
Junkie XL took some time off during the weekend to update fans on the progress he’s made working on the soundtrack music for Batman, opposite Hans Zimmer who’s been tirelessly working on the Superman theme for “Dawn of Justice.” On his first April 4 tweet posted by Movieweb, the composer revealed that he has just finished mixing the first trailer for “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice,” which he described as “F*** it’s so awesome.” He further revealed that he wrote “the original music” on the trailer’s soundtrack along with Hans Zimmer. Junkie XL added the hashtags #iFilmscoring, #dawnofjustice and #BatmanvSuperman@BatmanNewsCom to his first two tweets.
Junkie XL likewise essentially confirmed the recent reports that the first trailer for “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” will be released with the premiere of “Mad Max: Fury Road.” On his third tweet he wrote, “In the meantime go see @MadMaxMovie !!! Maybe there is trailer you like @BatmanNewsCom #iFilmscoring #MadMaxFuryRoad.” The composer’s tweets have since been removed, which somehow give credibility to his recent reveal on the trailer’s release date.
“Mad Max: Fury Road” opens in U.S. theatres on May 15. It would reportedly make sense if the first trailer for “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” will debut on the same day, considering “Fury Road” is believed to be one of the most-anticipated movies to watch this summer from Warner Bros. Whether the trailer for “BVS” will be shown in theatres or online is still uncertain at this point.
Slashfilm said Warner Bros. could have the first trailer for “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” released online. There are reportedly likely two options the studio can choose from. One is to have it available online in the early week of May 15. The trailer could possibly also be released a week after the “Mad Max: Fury Road” screening on theatres.
