As the final day of Kate Middleton’s pregnancy coming to a close, many experts are speculating the pros and cons about the next royal baby. Based on the report, Prince George’s brother or sister is expected to generate 80 million pounds for economy right after he/she is born, but a little princess could help the economy soar to 150 million pounds a year after she was born.

“I think there will be an immediate boost of around 80 million pounds [or $119.4 million] when the baby is born, with around [$30 million-$37 million] spent on souvenirs and the rest on food and drink such as cake and sparkling wine,” according to Professor Joshua Bamfield, director of the U.K.’s Center for Retain Research in an interview with London’s Telegraph.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s first born booted the economy by 247 million pounds, although there is not much hype when it comes to the second royal baby, a sister for Prince George could boost the economy in the long term basis. Just think about the fashion retail business as she will set new trends for baby fashion and accessories.

The Royal Collection Trust is currently prepping an official range of royal baby souvenirs, which includes a wide array of plates and cups. These royal souvenirs are going to be available in royal palaces’ gift shops and online stores. Companies like Emma Bridgewater pottery shop is currently working on their own commemorative mugs and souvenirs.

Meanwhile, pregnant Kate Middleton’s uncle Gary Goldsmith (brother of Carole Middleton) is making headlines all over the Internet when he revealed that the royal couple is not stopping for baby no. 2. Goldsmith also admitted that his niece is a beautiful girl and if the Duchess is going to give birth to a daughter then “she’ll be equally as beautiful.”

The 33-year-old second-time-mum-to-be is currently staying at the Kensington Palace after spending a weekend to her parent’s home in Bucklebury. The Duchess and Prince George was spotted enjoying a trip in Bucklebury farm and according to an eyewitness the mother and son bonded together before her second bundle to joy.
