Kate Middleton and Prince William bring cheer among school children by sending them Christmas card
Kate Middleton and Prince William brought a lot of cheer among the children of Forest School when they sent Christmas cards to each class. The kids from the reception classes of the school had sent handmade cards to the couple and their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte earlier in December. The children from the school were overjoyed to receive the special Christmas card and message from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
The Christmas card sent by Kate and William featured a picture of the family from Charlotte’s christening, Hello reports. “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George and Princess Charlotte thank the children in Squirrels and Rabbits Class at Forest School for the very kind handmade card sent at Christmas and send their best wishes for the New Year,” the card read.
Master in charge of the pre-preparatory, Paul Faulkner was delighted with the response. “The children were very excited to receive the reply from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge,” he said. He added that they did not expect a quick reply from the British royal couple, but the children were delighted that they received the card before their Christmas break.
Faulkner said that the Christmas card would be shared with the whole school during their end of term assemblies. He added that since the kids would learn about the royal family next year, it was a great way for them to begin. The tiny tots received the card during a visit from Santa Claus to their school.
Meanwhile, in another development George and his baby sister Charlotte will reportedly spend Christmas along with their parents at Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. The family-of-four will join a traditional family celebration with Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip at Sandringham House, Express UK reports. The couple along with their kids are expected to spend the night at queen’s countryside home.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their children will be among 31 guests invited for Christmas Day lunch at Sandringham hosted by Elizabeth and Philip. A royal insider said that the couple will be able to relax and some of their staff will be able to take time off and see their own families. Also, William and Kate have reportedly given George and Charlotte a £1,000 (AU$ 2082.12) solid oak handmade see-saw with horses’ heads at either end for their main present for Christmas.
