The singer can't hide for long and Hollywood won't let her just disappear. So where exactly will be Katy Perry be making her first post-divorce appearance?

Days after Russell Brand made the announcement for his divorce from singer Katy Perry, the whole world started singing Perry's song "The One that Got Away." Russell Brand filed the divorce claiming "irreconcilable differences" as the reason to the split however family and close friends say nothing of the sort was ever noticed in the couple.

Rather than sulking in the spotlight, Katy Perry ran to the aid of her best bud in the music industry, Rihanna.The two spent their Holidays soaking up the sun in Barbados while Russell Brand was left to do errands at London. However, their girl time is to be cut short, since Katy Perry is scheduled to appear at the People's Choice Awards at Los Angeles on January 11. Will Katy Perry be strong enough to show her face this time?

Well, she should be because she has got nominations for seven awards of which include Favorite Pop Artist, Song of the Year and Favorite Female Artist. Perry may not walk away with seven of them but she could win at least one by the end of the awards night.

Other stars that are set to appear at the People's Choice Awards which will be set at Los Angeles' Live Nokia Theatre include American Idol's Adam Levine, actor Liam Hemsworth, Jennifer Lawrence, Twilight's Ashley Greene, Glee's Leah Michele, Julianne Hough and Easy A's Emma Stone. Performances of the night are said to include Faith Hill and Demi Lovato. As for the night's host, Kaley Cuoco of "Big Bang Theory" is said to set the stage.

No word if Russell Brand will be making an appearance but here's to hoping he won't for the sake of dear Katy Perry's shattered and bruised ego. Katy Perry, on the other hand, should start fixing her head in the right direction, stop partying with Rihanna and look the best that she can if she wants the night to rock away with no thoughts of Brand bugging her.
