A lot of new video games made their debut at the E3 2012.

Some of the video games that released their trailers at the event are Halo 4, Gears of War: Judgment, Resident Evil 6, Far Cry 3, Assassin's Creed III, Assassin's Creed III: Liberation, and the post-apocalyptic action of The Last of Us.

Avid gamers are joyous as game developers made a wide selection of games to be released later this year. Some of the games that made their debut in the E3 2012 and their respective trailers are below.

Halo 4

Halo 4 is the eighth installment of the popular video game for Xbox 360. This sequel marks the first of another trilogy known as the "Reclaimer Trilogy." The game will be available on November 6, 2012.

Gears of War: Judgment

A prequel for the popular game Gears of War that takes place years before the first game. The storyline focuses when Baird was still lieutenant of Kilo Squad at the time. This new game is a multiplayer game that allows five players in a team.

Resident Evil 6

One of Capcom's successful game series will release its sixth installment. The dramatic horror game will allow players to select among three scenarios with connected storylines. The characters from each scenario will have their own partners in a similar fashion to previous games. The game will be released on October 2, 2012.

Far Cry 3

Ubisoft will bring you the open world first-person shooter video game. The story will take place in tropical islands between Indian and Pacific Oceans. The main goal of the game is to escape from the islands and its inhabitants. The game will be released on September 4, 2012 in United States and on September 6 in UK.

Assassin's Creed III

To be released this October is the third installment of the Assassin's Creed. The game will be set during the American Revolution featuring the protagonist Connor Kenway who was forced to fight when colonists attacked his homeland. Over the course of the game, Kenway will encounter historical figures including George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Charles Lee, Israel Putnam, General Lafayette, John Pitcairn, and William Prescott. The story will span 30 years of Connor's life, from 1753 and 1783.

Assassin's Creed III: Liberation

Ubisoft unveiled a new assassin for PSP Vita. Liberation introduces an all-new assassin named Aveline, and takes place in the rich, varied and vibrant environments of 18th-century Louisiana. During 1765, Aveline stands directly in the path of Spanish forces seeking to overrun and take Louisiana while the rest of the coastal colonies are occupied with the American Revolution. Aveline is a uniquely effective assassin, employing tactics from her mixed French and African lineage and using weapons like the machete, poison-dart blowpipe and dueling pistols.

The Last of Us

A post-apocalyptic third-person survival action-adventure video game developed by Naughty Dog for the PlayStation 3. The main characters in the game are Ellie and Joel. Joel is a "ruthless" survivor and Ellie is a 14-year-old girl who is wise beyond her years but has lost her memory.

Gaming giant EA Games also released its line up of games to be released in the next few months, including expansion packs for the popular Battlefield 3.

Electric Entertainment Expo 2012 or known as E3 2012 is an annual trade show for computer and video games. This year's event is currently taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 5 to June 7.
