Killer Xiaomi Mi Note Pro Release Set For Next Week: Features 4GB RAM, Snapdragon 810, Priced At $483 In China
The Chinese tech giant Xiaomi introduced two high-end smartphones in January: the Xiaomi Mi Note and Xiaomi Mi Note Pro. Even though the smaller sibling Mi Note was immediately available for purchase, the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro release date was not confirmed by the company. However, a new report via Weibo states that the bigger phablet will be released in China on May 12.
As far as Xiaomi Mi Note Pro price goes, GSM Arena says the device will reportedly set the buyers back by CNY 2,999, which roughly translates to $483. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro specifications include a humongous 5.7-inch display bundled with a QHD screen resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, along with a 2.5D curved glass. The QHD display has reportedly been manufactured by Sharp/JDI and it apparently gives 1400:1 contrast ratio and dynamic contrast adaptation under sunlight, thereby guaranteeing a killer viewing experience.
Under the hood, the Mi Note Pro is powered by an octa-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 810) processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, and the graphics side is apparently taken care of by Adreno 430 GPU. In any case, readers should note that the tech giant has reportedly fixed the Snapdragon 810 overheating issues with the help of a unique thermal distribution design, notes GSM Arena. To top it off, the handset is backed by an impressive 4 GB of RAM. On the software end, the phone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with MIUI 6 on top of it.
When it comes to memory configuration, the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro is equipped with a killer 64 GB of built-in storage. However, there is no microSD card support. The handset features a solid 13 MP rear-facing unit with Sony IMX214 image sensor and dual-tone LED flash. In addition, the device also sports a 4 MP front-facing camera unit for selfies and video calls.
Furthermore, the whole configuration is powered by a 3,090 mAh battery unit. Notably, this battery unit also comes with rapid charging technology, which apparently allows the handset to be charged from 0 percent to 70 percent within one hour. However, at this point, there is no official information available to ascertain if this handset will be released outside China.
