‘King Arthur’ Star Charlie Hunnam And His Five Hottest Roles
Dubbed as one of Hollywood sexiest hunks, Charlie Hunnam is slowly cementing his mark as one of the most respective actors in the industry from his TV roles to his big screen characters. Hunnam recently wrapped up his FX biker drama series “Sons of Anarchy” and is currently filming with Guy Ritchie in his upcoming movie, “Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur.”
“It was important for me to have a little bit of time to try to find some sort of centre before I jumped into a different character,” Hunnam told Elle Canada when asked about his transition from Jax Teller to King Arthur. “It was actually really painful to say goodbye to Jax. I immediately stopped riding my motorbike. I know I’ll start riding again at some point, but I needed to get away from it all, just so I could find myself again.”

Jax Teller (“Sons of Anarchy”)
Best known for his role as SAMCRO’s president Jax Teller, the 34-year-old actor made his debut in the American television in 2008 when he signed up in Kurt Sutter’s “Sons of Anarchy.” Filmed in a the fictional town of Charming, the show follows the life of Jax Teller and his quest to take his club out of the gun business and making sure that his sons (Abel and Thomas) will never come to know the life of chaos that he lived.
Raleigh Becket (“Pacific Rim”)
Hunnam became an international hit when he starred in Guillermo del Toro’s sci-fi film “Pacific Rim” in 2013. The movie gross $411 million worldwide and the actor was awarded a Huading Award for Best Global Emerging Actor for his role. The British star starred alongside “Sons of Anarchy” co-star Ron Perlman, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day, Max martini and Idris Alba.
Due to the movie’s success in the Asian market, del Toro announced last year that he will be developing a sequel for the movie. “Pacific Rim 2” is set to be released by Universal Pictures on April 7, 2017.
Nathan Maloney (“Queer As Folk”)
Hunnam’s first major role came when he was 18 and was cast by Russell T. Davies in Channel 4 Drama series “Queer as Folk” as 15-year-old schoolboy Nathan Maloney. The 1999 British show chronicles the lives of three gay men living in Manchester’s gay village, played by Hunnam, Aidan Gillen and Craig Kelly.
Dr. Alan McMichael (“Crimson Peak”)
Described as quiet and shy for his role in “Crimson Peak,” the “Cold Mountain” star reunited with del Toro for his role as Dr. Alan McMichael in the upcoming gothic thriller film. The long-haired actor plays a very learned guy who is madly in love to Mia Wasikowska’s character Edith Cushing. Set in 19th century Cumbria, the films follows a young author who discovers that her husband is not who he appears to be. The movie is set to be released on Oct. 16, 2015.
King Arthur (“Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur”)
His first leading role in the big screen after “Pacific Rim,” Hunnam landed the role as King Arthur after he famously dropped his role in “Fifty Shades of Grey.” The actor is currently switching up his training routine as he gears up for his medieval role. The movie also stars “True Blood” actor Stephen Moyer and “The Americans” star Matthew Rhys. “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Strangers Tide” actress Astrid Berges-Frisbey is set to play Hunnam’s leading lady, Guinevere. “Knights of The Roundtable: King Arthur” is scheduled to premiere on July 22, 2016.
