Kristin Cavallari’s brother found dead in Utah after being missing for days
Actress Kristin Cavallari’s brother Michael Cavallari has been found dead days after he went missing. The Grand County Sheriff's Office reported they found a body that they believed to be of Michael Cavallari.
"At approximately 10:30 a.m. search crews located remains believed to be that of Michael Cavallari. At this time, the body is being transported to the Office of the Utah Medical Examiner for positive identification and to determine the cause of death,” read the official statement by the Grand County Sheriff's Office.
The body was found by the search crews at a steep and rocky area near the Salt Wash area in Grand County. Kristin is devastated on hearing the news of her brother’s demise. She took to Instagram to break the news of Michael’s demise and even posted an old picture that features both of them as little kids.
“My heart is in a million pieces. Mikey, I could always count on you to make me laugh. You had such a good heart and will be forever missed. I'm at a loss for words but I know u are in a better place and finally at peace. I love u so much RIP,” read the photo caption.
Kristen also revealed that they were informed by the authorities about the death. She asked everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this tough time, E! News reported. The body was transported to the Office of the Utah Medical Examiner to identify the cause of death.
"I can confirm that a body was found and transported to the medical examiner's office in Salt Lake City," E! News quoted a spokesperson for the Utah Medical Examiner's Office.
It was only a few days back when Michael’s Honda Civic was found abandoned on Nov. 27 in Utah, following which Kristen had raised concerns over his safety. He was later identified in a security footage obtained by the police from a convenience store.
Kristin delivered her third child last month but the sudden demise of her brother has left her in a state of shock.
