Lady Gaga v/s Perez Hilton, The Fight is Still On as Gaga Speaks Up About The Feud
Singer Lady Gaga and celebrity blogger Perez Hilton are friends-turned-enemies and their Twitter feud is well known to everyone. Though many of us thought that the topic has died down, the 28-year-old "Applause" singer has again brought the cat out of the box. For the first time ever Gaga spoke about the war against the blogger.
The "Born This Way" singer expressed her displeasure about Perez moving in her neighbourhood and said she sees the move as a threat. On Sunday evening, Lady Gaga hosted the event "artRave" at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, which marked the release of her latest album "ARTPOP."
The singer told USA Today that people can hate her from far but the moment they enter into her vicinity, it does not impress her. Same applies to Perez who was spotted looking for apartments closer to singer Gaga's building.
"It's fine to hate me afar. Everyone can hate me from afar. But the second you try to move in next door to me, I know you're getting too close, and it's not safe. Already it's stressful not feeling safe as it is," Gaga said referring to Perez adding that he could have chosen to live anywhere else in New York.
"I have lots of security. I get death threats all the time. Some things bring out the New Yorker in me. If you hate somebody and you want to move next door to me, the only thing I can think of is that you're moving in because you want to blow yourself up. There's thousands and millions of apartments in New York. You don't need to move in next door to me," Gaga added talking about her former friend.
Perez also responded to Gaga's words by tweets.
"I've got my son and mom here with me in NYC and you think I'm going to blow myself up? Stop doing drugs!!," Perez tweeted.
"If your daughter ends up dead, it's from a drug overdose. Not cuz I blew us up!... She's sick and delusional!," the blogger wrote to the Gaga's parents.
Gaga was apparently angered when Perez praised rival Katy Perry's "Roar" song and claimed it was better than Lady Gaga's single "Applause." The blogger also mocked Lady Gaga's serious hip injury and posted nude photos of her on Twitter.
In August, Perez Hilton announced about his intentions to relocate to New York to raise his son - a Down's syndrome baby. He also accused Lady Gaga's fans, called Monsters, of issuing hate emails and even death threats to him and his son.
However, the feud is still on and will continue as Perez Hilton has again urged followers to buy Christina Aguilera's previous album "Bionic" album instead of Gaga's newly released "ARTPOP!"
