Leaked video of Sony Xperia Z5 surfaced; confirms key specs
Sony is expected to unveil its flagship Xperia Z5, a smaller version Xperia Z5 Compact and larger variant Xperia Z5 Premium, on Sep. 2. As the date nears, a new video mentioning the key specifications of the Xperia Z5 series has been leaked.
The recently leaked hands-on French video posted on the Xperia blog shows the much anticipated Sony Xperia Z5. Olivier Terme, the marketing director of Sony Mobile France, talks about the upcoming devices and reveals the much rumoured specifications. The new series will sport an ‘XPERIA’ logo on the side of the aluminium frame. However, it is yet to be decided if the logo will appear on all three devices or if only the Premium model will flaunt it.
As far as the Xperia Z5 series specifications are concerned, all three devices will sport a 23-megapixel rear camera. It will have the fastest autofocus with a focusing speed of 0.03 seconds. The improved camera software also allows users to select resolution of images among 8 megapixels (16:9), 20 megapixels (16:9) and 23 megapixels (4:3) in the Superior Auto mode.
A significantly improved low light performance as compared to its predecessors will be one of the highlights of the device. The Z5 Premium will flaunt a pioneering 5.5-inch 4K Ultra HD display while the Z5 will have a 5.2-inch 1080p display.
All three models will be powered by the Snapdragon 810 SoC instead of the new Snapdragon 820, reports Phone Arena . Sony has reportedly resolved the issues of overheating for the Xperia Z4 devices, even if users will watch Netflix in HD, film video or play video games.
The Z5, Z5 Compact and Z5 Premium are the first Sony Xperia models to tout the new fingerprint sensor housed on the right side of the smartphone, as mentioned in the Xperia blog. The phones will apparently have a waterproof exterior with dust resistance (with probable IP68 certification). A full charge will be good enough to run the phones for two days. The devices will be packed with a capless microUSB port, 3GB of RAM and 32GB memory, as reported by GSM Arena.
