ZUK Mobile, a China-based smartphone maker, has collaborated with Lenovo to launch the new ZUK Z1 smartphone. Powered with Cyanogen OS, the device is now available with a discounted price of $299 on Gear Best.

The Lenovo ZUK Z1 International Edition features a 5.5-inch IPS screen that offers a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It offers a screen-to-body ratio is 69.3 percent and delivers a pixel density of 401 ppi. Under the hood of the device is the Snapdragon 801 that houses a 32-bit quad-core chip gunning at 2.5 GHz along with Adreno 330 graphics. The SoC is coupled with 3 GB of RAM and the internal storage of the device is 64 GB.

The handset is powered by CyanogenMod 12.1 OS, a modified version of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. According to Android Authority since Cyanogen is certified by Google, it features apps and services from the search engine giant.

The 13 MP rear camera of the ZUK Z1 is enabled with Optical Image Stabilization. The front-facing shooter is of 8 MP. For connectivity, it features a USB Type-C connector, v4.1 Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, dual-SIM, 4G and 3G. It features a fingerprint scanner embedded in the physical Home button.

The Lenovo ZUK Z1 measures 155.7 x 77.3 x 8.9 mm and weighs 175 grams. The front and rear panel are made up of plastic, and it features a metal frame. It is packed with a massive battery of 4,100 mAh capacity that offers a 4G talk time of 48 hours. It also allows users to enjoy continuous video and music on the device for up to 15 and 120 hours, respectively.

The Lenovo ZUK Z1 review from Android Authority states that instead of the stock apps provided by Google, the Cyanogen OS 12.1 brings its own apps for the camera, calendar and email. As far as the performance is concerned, even though the device is packed with a yesteryear Snapdragon 801 SoC, it functions without any lag.

On Gear Best, the Lenovo ZUK Z1 International Edition is listed with a price of $314. The handset is available in two color options, white and deep gray. By using a coupon code of ZUKZ1, the handset can be availed for $299 along with free shipping through the Chinese retailer. The shipping of the device starts from Oct. 15.
