After her epic duet with Asia's T-bird Aiza Seguerra, fans of former Glee star Charice Pempengco could look forward to another duet by the international singer. This time her singing partner would be not another lesbian but her girlfriend, Alyssa Quijano.

Charice shared that she is collaborating with Alyssa in her forthcoming album that will contain the romantic pair's theme songs in real life. She said it will be her first recorded duet with Alyssa, who was her competitor in singing contests the two joined as young girls a few years ago.

The two gave a sample of what to expect from the album in a dinner tendered by their friends and people whom Charice considers her new family in Gulod, Cabuyao, Laguna.

The singer of Pyramid, who is estranged from her mother Raquel, said the songs on her new album will be a combination of songs she sings for the first time and songs belted in the way Charice used to before she came out as a lesbian because that's what the fans want. It includes Unexpected Love, which she composed for Alyssa.

"But I also have songs that I am comfortable with," she added.

She disclosed that the record producer wants to launch the forthcoming album internationally, but she insisted it be done in the Philippines because it is special in her heart.

Charice will leave for Germany soon to fulfill her commitments, but will be back in Manila in September for the album release.

The 21-year-old singer also defended Alyssa from criticisms for shying away from media interviews. She said her girlfriend does not need to answers issues being hurled at them.

Charice added that Alyssa is an expert in handling criticisms. "She doesn't care about her bashers. She is more affected by those who bash me," Charice added.
