Lewis Hamilton Back In London After Pre-Season Test In Jerez
Lewis Hamilton flew back to London after completing Mercedes’ pre-season test in Jerez, Spain. The reigning F1 champion reportedly took a private jet to fly him to London on Feb. 4.
According to Daily Mail, which obtained exclusive snaps of the reigning world champion when he arrived from Spain, Hamilton flew back to London to save his relationship with Nicole Scherzinger. Hamilton reportedly headed to a hotel at Central London on Wednesday evening.
Recently, it has been reported that Hamilton and Scherzinger had broken up for the fourth time. The announcement of former couple’s breakup came during the first pre-season test in Jerez, Spain, which took place from Feb. 2 to 4.
Sources close to the situation revealed that the breakup was a mutual decision from both parties. It has been said that the busy career of Hamilton and Scherzinger is the main reason why the two decided to part ways.
Meanwhile, Hamilton was happy with the outcome of Mercedes’ first pre-season testing in Jerez. Even though Hamilton’s final day in Jerez was cut short after he lost control of his car, spinning around and eventually stalling the engine, Hamilton was pleased with the progress that Mercedes have made this week.
“It’s been pretty amazing this week to see how reliable the car has been and how much mileage we’ve covered,” Hamilton said via The Telegraph. “I can’t really say much about the performance of the car but it doesn’t feel any worse than last year’s, which is a good sign.”
Hamilton said he is fit and ready to go. He added that he is looking forward getting back on the track in Barcelona. The next pre-season test takes place from Feb. 19 to 22 in Barcelona, Spain. The final pre-season test will also be carried out in Barcelona from Feb. 26 to March 1.
Hamilton will begin his quest to defend his title in the opening Formula One race of the 2015 season at the Australian Grand Prix on March 12. Last year, Hamilton was forced to retire on lap three at the Australian Grand Prix due to engine problems.
