LG announces K series smartphones
LG Electronics will showcase a new line of smartphones with the advanced camera technology at the 2016 CES in Las Vegas. The brand new K Series of smartphones will be sporting the stylish ‘glossy pebble’ design with a contemporary finish aimed at a younger audience.
The first two handsets in the series, K10 and K7 will be displayed at LG’s booth in Hall #8204 of the Las Vegas Convention Center from Jan. 6 to Jan. 9.
“Our 2016 K Series is the latest example of LG applying it best mobile technology and premium design philosophy across numerous smartphone categories,” said Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, in press release.
The glossy pebble design is a new modern look which is well complimented by LG’s new 2.5D Arc Glass. The exclusive design of the K Series smartphones makes it clutter free. The company claims that the smartphone series would house “the most advanced camera on a smartphone in this category.”
“Customers equate the LG name with great smartphone imaging technology and we are committed to delivering on that flattering expectation,” added Cho.
The LTE version of the K10 would feature a 13MP main camera featuring along with an 8MP or 5MP front snapper featuring Gesture Shot and Gesture Interval Shot for taking hassle-free selfies. The 5.3-inch device will come with three memory configurations of 2GB / 1.5GB / 1GB RAM with 16GB / 8GB internal storage.
Running on Android 5.1 Lollipop , the new LG K10 will house a 2,300mAh battery. Both the variants of the K10 are available in White, Indigo and Gold colour options.
On the other hand, the LTE supported LG K7 hosts a 1.1 GHz quad-core CPU whereas the 3G version sports a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor. The LG K7 will be shipped with 1.5GB / 1GB of RAM with 16GB / 8GB of internal storage.
The 3G iteration of the device will come in White, Black and Gold colour options. The 5.0-inch device sports an 8MP rear camera with 5MP front shooter.
