The LG G3 is all set to taste Android 6.0 Marshmallow as soon as next month. Starting with Poland, the update will roll-out between Dec. 16 and Dec.18 followed by other parts of the world.

A report reveals the software update for the LG G3 is in its final testing stages in Poland. Further reports state a Polish LG representative named Jaroslaw Bukowski confirmed the update is ready.

Following roll-out patterns last month, LG started the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for its current flagship LG G4 in Poland. The LG G3 was released with the Android 4.4.2 KitKat on board and directly updated to Android version 5.0 skipping v4.4.3 and v4.4.4.

In June, LG confirmed it has ‘no plans’ to roll out Android 5.1 or Android 5.1.1 Lollipop to its LG G3 handset. This already indicated the smartphone will again directly get the taste of Marshmallow, reports NDTV Gadgets.

Recent reports say the LG G2 and LG G Flex 2 on AT&T, Sprint, Mobile and Verizon will also get the latest version of Android operating system. In the meantime, Google updated its Nexus 5 and Nexus 6. HTC One A9 is the first ever non-Nexus smartphone unveiled with Android Marshmallow on board.

By now, major tech firms like Samsung, HTC, Motorola, Lenovo, Sony, OnePlus and Asus have already released their respective lists of devices getting the latest OS version.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow brings with it refinements in core features introduced in Android Lollipop. New features worth mentioning are support for Android Pay, battery saving Doze mode, apps permission, Do Not Disturb mode, auto backup, a new RAM manager and support for USB Type-C port.
