If you are considering buying the cheap LG Nexus as a gift for the holidays, you may want to think again.

Reports said that the 16GB LG Nexus 4 will ship the handsets by next year. The timeframe for getting your hands on the 16GB version of the LG Nexus 4 from ordering it is increasing very fast. The handset was offered for sale again on Tuesday; however the shipping date had changed for 1 to 2 weeks to 3 to 4 weeks in just a matter of hours.

Then it quickly changed again to 4 to 5 weeks. Just a few days on from this and now the 16GB LG Nexus 4 shipping time has been changed to 6 to 7. This means that one will most likely see the device in 2013.

Last week, the 8GB version of the LG Nexus 4 saw a similar situation and that it could be February 2013 before you could get your hands on it. Thus, both variants will test the length of your patience.

Cheap, Powerful But Not Worth the Price?

The Google-LG Nexus 4 boasts a 4.7 inch screen display with 1280x768 resolution, 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, 8 MP camera and 2100 mAh battery.

The LG Nexus 4 also has WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, NFC Android Beam, Bluetooth, 2100 mAh Lithium polymer battery, Microphone, Accelerometer, Ambient light, Compass, Gyroscope, Barometer and GPS.

The new Google-LG smartphone will run with the new Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, which promises new features upgrade such as better camera options and controls. This has become the selling point of the device.

Due to its cheap price and features and specs, the device attracted a lot of consumers and quickly it appeared in the Google Play Store, it sold out hours later.

This week, there are reports that claimed that the popular LG Nexus 4 appeared and disappeared again Google Play Store.

Users of the new LG Nexus 4 reported some of the problems they encountered while using the device. One of the main complaints on the device is the buzzing sound coming from the earpiece of the handset. Due to the problem brought by the earpiece, it yields to distorted calls. This could also become a huge problem for people, especially to businessmen who are constantly speaking with clients.

The Nexus 4 was also flagged with a bug with the camera's auto focus. The issue was clearly demonstrated by two user videos which showed that the Nexus 4 does indeed automatically focus in the middle of the shot allowing you to take a clear video no matter how close or how far you eventually take the subject.

It seems that if the device focused on something too close, and you point again to a faraway object, the camera fails to focus again and leaves you with a blurry mess since it is focused for near objects.

Moreover, many fans are disappointed as the smartphone will never support 4G/LTE connectivity. LG confirmed that no firmware update is coming and there is no software fix is in development.

With the Nexus 4 currently out of stock and 'coming soon' back to the Google Play store, hopefully Google and LG will be able to work out a quick fix. Usually, problems like this are due to software and not manufacturer error by LG.

One of the biggest problem surrounding the device is its supply are limited and cannot meet the overwhelming demand for the device. The incredibly cheap price of the smartphone lured many buyers. Some websites take advantage of the demand and sell the device at a much higher price.

Google has yet to comment on the problem, even on the forum. This leads us to believe that the issue is minor or Google has already begun work on a fix. With Google's roll out of the new update, we hope that these issues will be fixed. If not, then you would just have to live with the bugs from Google's newest Nexus partner.
