A list of HTC smartphones that will get the latest Jelly Bean update leaked in the Internet.

@Football4DPA posted a list of HTC devices expecting the OS update soon. There are a lot of devices covered with this list, so a number of HTC users should be getting an update to Jelly Bean at some point in the future. Football tells us in a later tweet that these handsets should all be getting upgrades to Android 4.1.1, though later updates to Android 4.2 might not be out of the question.

Below is the full list of devices:

  • HTC One X+
  • HTC One XL
  • HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE
  • HTC EVO 4G LTE
  • HTC One SV
  • HTC One VX
  • HTC One S
  • HTC One S C2
  • HTC J

Unfortunately, the list did not mention any details regarding the release date of the OS update. Thus, we know that these handsets will be getting updates eventually, we are just not sure when exactly that will happen. Hopefully HTC starts rolling these out sooner rather than later, but keep in mind that the company hasn't even confirmed this yet, so you might be waiting a while.

On the other hand, the Androidv4.2 Jelly Bean update for HTC One X leaked on the web this week that made a lot of users excited.

Finally, after a full month of tediously waiting for the update and after first going live in Taiwan and Singapore, HTC gave its global servers the nudge over the weekend and pushed the official 4.1 Jelly Bean update out to unlocked One X handsets. As well as the UK, reports are coming in from One X owners in Argentina, India, Russia, and Brazil that they have received the update.

The latest 4.2 version of Android also appeared online this weekend for rooted phones. The unofficial ROM comes from XDA forum member Pabx and already supports most major features, including Wi-Fi, phone calls, GSM data, Audio output and GPS. However, there are also several missing features including no camera support, no Bluetooth and no HD video playback.
