Google released the Project Butter included in the Android Jelly Bean 4.1 update which fixes most common issues from older firmware versions. Project Butter makes the device run smoother and more responsive to touch, but even with a great processor and more RAM sometimes your phone does not perform as smoothly as before.

There are many ways to make an Android phone run faster, smoother and better. But there are only certain few tweaks which makes the device go smooth even it is fully loaded.

Here are some very simple fixes without any root needed to help run your Android phone to the smoothest level.

1. Replace the Launcher

The Launcher is the overall interface you can see to navigate your phone, including home screen, application menu, and wallpapers. You can replace your default launcher by downloading a third party from Google Play. Third-party launchers can give extended options to make your device run a little smoother.

2. Glovebox App

This app brings out the best multitasking ability without lifting a finger. You can open applications by just sliding your finger either left or right, depending on your configuration. Slide over the icons of the applications you want to launch, and you can go back and forth with these icons anytime you want.

3. SwypePad

But for those who insist about clearing apps, you can simply go back to the Developer Options and check Don't keep activities. The effect is every time you leave an application using any keys, the app is automatically deleted. Whenever you open an app, it reloads everything as if for the first time and causes the device to slow down even more.
