Matt Bomer: White Collar Actor Stars in Sci-Fi Comedy Film Titled Space Station 76, Watch Released Video Trailer
The video trailer that has been released for the sci-fi comedy film titled "Space Station 76" showed actor Matt Bomer taking on a lighter role after starring in the 2014 HBO drama television film "The Normal Heart." Other cast members joining the 36-year-old "White Collar" actor in "Space Station 76" are "The Conjuring" actor Patrick Wilson, Liv Tyler, Jerry O'Connell and "Glee" star Matthew Morrison.
The "Space Station 76" film, which is set in the 1970s version of the future, is about a group of people dealing with internal issues as they live in a space station. Some of the issues that will cause the tension between the crew members are the arrival of a new Assistant Captain, which actress Liv Tyler portrays, and the secret bisexuality struggle of Captain Glenn (Patrick Wilson).
As for Matt Bomer, the "Magic Mike" actor will be portraying Ted, a mechanic married to a character named Misty. Actress Marisa Coughlan portrays Mat Bomer's wife in the sci-fi movie. "Space Station 76" is Matt Bomer's first movie role after starring in the 2012 male stripping film titled "Magic Mike" with Channing Tatum and receiving an Emmy nomination for his portrayal of character Felix Turner in "The Normal Heart."
According to the ETOnline report, actor Jerry O'Connell also stars in the film portraying an astronaut named Steve. The report further described the "Space Station 76" film as a "character-driven, domestic dramedy where personalities and asteroids collide."
In the video trailer, the Just Jared report noted down the scene where Matt Bomer accidentally groped co-star Liv Tyler with a futuristic glove that looks like the Nintendo Power Glove back in the 1980s. Have a look at the trailer for "Space Station 76" below.
There is no official release date for writer and director Jack Plotnick's "Space Station 76" even though the film premiered at the 2014 SXSW festival last Mar 8 in Austin, Texas. In the meantime, Matt Bomer is set to reprise his TV role as the con-man Neal Caffrey in "White Collar" with filming for the sixth and final season of the USA Network TV series currently underway.
