Meizu MX5 is now available for $329 on Gear Best
Meizu MX5 is the latest budget smartphone from the Chinese brand. Initially, the handset was only available in China, but now the handset is available for purchase for international buyers through Gear Best.
The Meizu MX5 comes fitted with a 5.5-inch screen AMOLED display that supports full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It produces a pixel density of 401 ppi. The screen-to-body ratio of the display is 74.5 percent.
The Meizu MX5 is powered by the MediaTek MT6795 chipset that includes an octa-core CPU that produces a clocking speed of 2.2 GHz along with PowerVR G6200 GPU. Meizu has packed 3 GB of RAM on the budget smartphone.
The handset is available in three internal storage versions of 16 GB, 32 GB and 128 GB. However, it does not feature a microSD card slot. It is equipped with an impressive camera of 20.7 MP that is enabled with dual-LED flash. On the front, there is a selfie shooter of 5 MP. The device also features a fingerprint sensor embedded inside the physical Home button.
It is powered by Android OS that is modified with Meizu’s very own Flyme 4.5 software. It includes several connectivity features like 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and more. It is a dual-SIM smartphone with 4G support on primary SIM and 2G support on secondary SIM.
The device measures only 7.6 mm in thickness and weighs 149 grams. It features a massive non-removable battery of 3,150 mAh that can be quickly charged to 60 percent in 40 minutes.
Gear Best is currently selling the 16 GB Meizu MX5 for US$329 (AUD 447). The 32 GB Meizu MX5 is priced at US$379 (AUD 515). Both the handsets are available in several color variants like black, white, and champagne. It is also offering free shipping for customers across the globe.
