‘Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’ November update ships new weapons and brings back major character
Konami continues to support one of its best-reviewed games, “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain,” with regular patches that fix current bugs and the addition of small new features for the game’s several modes. The November patch for the game will also change a pivotal plot point in the campaign of “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.”
Aside from some changes and items added to the game’s FOB mode and “Metal Gear Online,” the November update released by Konami will also bring back a character that was taken out at the latter part of the campaign. [Spoilers Alert!]
The character is none other than Quiet, one of Big Boss’ companions who focuses on sniping out enemies. During the game’s campaign, Quiet was no longer usable after Mission 45. At the end of the said mission, Quiet left Big Boss, and it was speculated that she died alone in the dessert. However, with the new patch, players can once again recruit Quiet.
The character was first spotted by Reddit user Brotigan, who has detailed how to make Quiet accessible again. According to him, once the player downloads the patch, he or she could redo the 11th mission called Cloaked in Silence. This is the mission where Big Boss faces off against Quiet. This time, the word [REUNION] will be stated along with the mission name. Once finished with the mission, players will be able to use Quiet once again. She will be back at Mother Base with all of her weapons before she left.
Aside from being able to bring back Quiet, players are also treated to several new features on the modes of “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.” Perhaps the biggest new feature is the Grade 8 development for “Metal Gear Online,” which brings several new weapons. The FOB mode will also have several new security items up for development.
