New ‘Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’ bug emerges
Following the Quiet bug that destroys game files and brings server connectivity issues that disrupts online play, another bug has been spotted for “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.” This time, the bug is affecting PS4 players and those who have multiple Sony Entertainment network accounts connected to their consoles.
If a user with multiple accounts that play “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain” on their PlayStation 4, they could encounter a message upon loading a save data, Gamespot reports. In some cases, players loading a save data will get a message saying that the saved data cannot be used because of a downloadable content error. Getting this message would make the game impossible to launch.
Konami has acknowledged the current issue but is yet to deliver a patch for the game. For now, the developer suggests that players should use only one Sony Entertainment Network account on the PlayStation 4 when playing the game. Konami’s suggestion may not be suitable especially for those who share their PlayStation 4 with someone else.
Konami said to Gamespot that it is currently looking for a fix for the bug and that it will update players regarding the patch as soon as possible. It could come in the following days, just as it did with the Quiet bug.
The bug is not new, it has just been undiscovered until recently, by several players who experienced the bug. Gamespot apparently encountered the issue when the game launched last September.
The bug was first spotted on Sept. 11, but Konami issued a patch on Sept. 14 TechTimes reports. Konami is persistent on providing players with a good experience, especially now that the game is set to expand on with “Metal Gear Online.”
The upcoming “Metal Gear Online” is a competitive team-based shooter for “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.” It will feature several modes to play on as well as different character classes. Players will also have the chance to use series characters such as Big Boss and Ocelot in the game.
