“Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain” has easily become one of the best and most expansive games of 2015. Numerous players have reported being more than a hundred hours into the game yet are still faced with more content to unveil. It seems that the base game is all there is for the story as Konami announced recently that story DLCs are not part of their plans for the game.

The ending of “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain” left players with many unanswered questions. Some have even wondered whether or not Quiet really did die. Earlier this week, a series fan reached out to “Metal Gear” community manager Robert Peeler on Twitter to ask if there were any story content in the works. Within a few minutes, Peeler responded saying that no story DLC is currently planned for the game.

“I don't have any particular story content to announce, no,” Peeler said over at Twitter.

Rumours regarding additional story content circulated online just days after the release of “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain,” iDigital Times reports. This was mainly because of the many unanswered questions and open ending of the game. But with the final word on no additional DLCs, there is still the possibility that Konami may have left unanswered questions in “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain” in lieu of another “Metal Gear” title. However, as it stands, the future of the series is currently unclear, particularly with game creator Hideo Kojima leaving the company.

Before the game released, game director Kojima, announced that players will be able to get back to Camp Omega from “Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes,” in “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain,” Gamepur reports. This promise was fulfilled somehow as Peeler also confirmed that Camp Omega will be accessible in one of the missions in the upcoming team-based competitive multiplayer “Metal Gear Online,” coming on Oct. 6 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
