In a new interview with the Queen of Media, Oprah Winfrey, Paris Jackson openly talked about her childhood. The daughter of the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, has admitted to being confused with her wearing a mask.

Paris has also described about how it felt be subjected to the face-covering paraphernalia and said that Michael Jackson is just your typical and "normal" dad. Paris has also shared her struggle to deal with her father's death in 2009 after an overdose of propofol and said that it never gets easier.

"I was really confused, like I didn't get why I was wearing a mask," the 13-year-old told Oprah.

"I understand it now, why our dad would want our face to be covered, so when we went out without him, we wouldn't be recognized and we could have a normal childhood," Paris shared.

The idea of maintaining some level of normality in the Jackson household is an important one. It is a notion that frequently came up during the interview.

In the interview, Oprah investigated the struggles of being the child of a superstar.

"Did you feel that he wanted you to have a 'normal' life?" Oprah asked Paris, to which the young Jackson said that her father did wanted her and her siblings, Prince Michael and Blanket, to have a so-called normal life.

Paris shared that his father had his doubts.

According to Paris, Michael Jackson has told his children that he did not really have a childhood when he was younger. "He'd always be stuck in the studio singing while other kids were out playing. And he wanted us to have that. Chuck E. Cheese and Toys 'R' Us were our favorite places to go," Paris revealed.

Paris shared that when she sees other kids with their parents, she cannot help but compare them to her dad. She admitted that, at the end of the day, Michael Jackson was just a really normal father whenever the late singer spends his quality time with his children. In the interview, Paris also revealed that they would get grounded if they did something bad.

"He would ground us. He wouldn't call it grounding but he'd just say, 'You're on punishment.' Sometimes we'd be on punishment a lot. Mostly me and Blanket because me and Blanket would always fight," she shared.

However, that sibling rivalry seemed to have tapered off now that they are growing up. Paris and Blanket are closer than ever. In fact, Paris shared that she and Blanket have found a lot of things in common more than she thought they would actually have.

It actually made them get a lot closer with each other. Meanwhile, according to Paris, Prince Michael has started to drift off now that he is a teenage boy. The full interview of Paris Jackson with Oprah Winfrey will be aired on Sunday at the "Oprah Winfrey Network."
