In September, Google announced that it will roll out Android 4.4 KitKat which will replace the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. In October, the tech giant showcased its newest candy bar along with its features. In November, the update started rolling out for Google Nexus devices. Ever since, we have seen a number of Android KitKat updates rolling out, here is a list of the Android 4.4 KitKat updates that we expect to see in 2014.

In July, Google unveiled the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, a new version of the Jelly Bean that is developed upon the foundation left by its predecessors, the Android 4.2 and Android 4.1. Back then, rumours suggested that Google will release another software update before the year ends and true enough, along with the Nexus smartphone, the company did that.

Google detailed the Android 4.4 KitKat alongside the release of the Google Nexus 5 on Halloween. As expected the Android 4.4 KitKat came with a few new additions which include improvements to the Google Now, a new immersion mode, brand new dialer, improved multitasking and more. The changes appeared to be incremental addition to the previous Android updates.

In November, Google finally rolled out the much anticipated Android 4.4 KitKat but for the Google Nexus devices only. After the Nexus devices, we have seen Android 4.4 KitKat updates to Google Play Edition devices, HTC One Developer Edition and devices from Motorola namely Moto X and Moto G.

Although there have been tons of roll outs already, there are still devices left without the Google candy bar and we expect to see these roll outs in the future according to Got To Be Mobile.
