Since the past few months the rumour mill is predicting that the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will be released in October. Fresh speculations a specific date of Oct. 4 as the Surface Pro 4 release date. The Surface Pro 3 is also expected to come with high-end specs.

According to the latest tweets from the senior editor of The Verge, Tom Warren, the much awaited Surface Pro 4 will be released on Oct. 4, Design & Trend reported. He even mentions that the Surface Pro 4 will be coming with a refreshed design. However, previous rumours have suggested that it will appear similar to the Surface Pro 3.

Warren claims that the Surface Pro 4 will be coming with a larger display. The device will be lighter as well as slimmer than Pro 3. However, the accessories of the Surface Pro 3 will be usable on its successor model.

The Surface Pro 4 will not be an incremental upgrade over the Surface Pro 3 but it is expected to come with more advanced specifications. The device is likely to be powered by Skylake chipset. However, the inclusion of USB Type-C is doubtful on the Surface Pro 4. Hence, it will come with USB 3.0 or 3.1 ports.

According to DigiTimes, Microsoft is currently working its supply chain partners to build the Surface Pro 4. It adds that for the Surface Pro 4, 256 GB SSD will be supplied by Samsung, the camera setup will be provided by Largan Precision and Newmax, and the full metal chassis will be built by Ju Teng International.

One need to be aware of the fact that what Warren has revealed through his tweet is not backed up by any official or reliable source. Hence, readers are required to wait patiently for Microsoft to release official information on the Surface Pro 4.
