Microsoft unveils new 1 TB Xbox One Elite bundle
Microsoft recently announced that they are planning on releasing an Xbox One Elite bundle this November. The bundle would cost buyers a hefty $499, but the bundle itself and its contents may just be worth the price.
The bundle will include the high-end remake of the Xbox One Elite controller which features a slew of amazing features, including customisable configurations, additional buttons and swappable parts. Aside from the controller, the bundle will also ship with an Xbox One console that houses a whopping 1 TB Solid State Hybrid Drive, or SSHD. Microsoft noted that the bundle will only be available at GameStop and the Microsoft Store starting Nov. 3.
The 1 TB SSHD is capable of storing frequently used files on a solid state partition. What this means is it stores data on any program or game that is commonly booted up in the console. Microsoft stated that the 1 TB SSHD will allow players to boot up the Xbox One 20 percent faster from energy-saving mode.
Perhaps one of the great additions in the bundle is the Elite Controller. It was first revealed at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3, earlier this year, and Xbox owners were ecstatic about the high-end controller that can do a lot of things besides play games on the Xbox One. The controller can be bought at an earlier date as it is slated for an October release for the price of $149.99 (AU$ 106.66).
Polygon reports that this bundle will be the fourth for Xbox One that houses a 1 TB SSHD. The other bundles were the “Master Chief Collection,” the “Fifa 16,” and the “Forza Motorsport 6.”
